Stitchin' in Dayton

(formerly “alternate activities” for FDIM)

Hello to all –

It is now post Dayton Hamvention 2007 and time to begin thinking about Dayton Hamvention 2008!! This year was our second attempt at organizing an alternate activity and I think all 22 who were involved enjoyed it.

The stitches included in the 2007 project were:  Vertical and Horizontal Oblong Cross with Backstitch,  Cross Stitch,  Half Cross, Smyrna Cross,  Rice Stitch, T Stitch, and Alternating Mosiac Stitch.  There was also quilting, tatting and beading.

QRP-ARCI has been kind enough to provide our “st1tching” group with a larger meeting room (and coffee, tea & juice, too) for 2008 to sew in during the day during FDIM and the Hamvention – more details on specific location will be provided later.

OTHER IDEAS????? We are looking for any  thoughts, feedback or ideas you might have that will make Stitchin' in Dayton 2008 an even bigger success than 2007!

Also, if you don’t cross stitch but enjoy some other kind of hand work or craft, please join us. It is the diversity of our interests that will make this group flourish!!!
